Brazilian mixed martial artist Bibiano Fernandes claimed the ONE FC bantamweight championship belt over Kim Soo Chul of South Korea by unanimous decision, in a fight that lasted the full five rounds at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday.
The 33-year-old Brazilian Jiu-jitsu veteran put his experience to good use as he out-scored his 21-year-old opponent with several successful takedowns in the Total Domination fight event's headline bout.
In other bouts, crowd favourite Eddie Ng from Hong Kong demonstrated more of his explosiveness as he scored his fourth straight victory in ONE FC with a knockout win over Peter Davis of Malaysia.
Ng's Evolve MMA stablemate Jake Butler, however, did not fare as well. He was on the wrong side of a knockout against French judo expert Sylvain Potard.
