Mitsubishi Electric backs Singapore Table Tennis Association to the tune of $300,000

The Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) renewed its partnership with Mitsubishi Electric on Sunday, a $300,000 deal that will see the company sponsor the association for a further three years beginning 2014.

It is a continuation of the sponsorship, also worth $300,000, which started in January 2011. Mitsubishi's logo will adorn the left sleeve of the national jerseys.

Said STTA president Lee Bee Wah, who is also an MP for Nee Soon South GRC: "Sponsorships provide an essential resource for the STTA's sports excellence plans and allow for continued growth and success of Singapore table tennis."

The two sides inked their partnership on the sidelines of the the inaugural STTA Table Tennis Business League, which was won by a team of seven from Keppel. Besides the winner's trophy, the team also got the chance to pit their skills against the Youth Olympics training squad.
