Singapore National Olympic Council vice-president Low Teo Ping was announced on Thursday as Team Singapore's chef de mission for the July 23-Aug 3 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 68-year-old had previously served as chef de mission in the 2010 Asian Games and the 2007 SEA Games.
Along with British High Commissioner to Singapore, Antony Phillipson, and Tan Sri Dr Mani Jegathesan, who was representing the Commonwealth Games Federation, they officiated over the start of the Queen's Baton Relay at the National Sailing Centre.
The relay is held over two days, ending on Friday at around 5.45pm at the Queenstown Stadium, where members of the public are welcome to attend.
