Amita Berthier is only 17, trains in Boston and could write a thesis on separation.

The fencer lives 15,118km from her maternal grandparents, mother Uma and sister Aarya in Singapore; 5,527km from her paternal grandparents in France; 5,621km from her sister Aishwarya who works in the banking industry in London; and 346km from her brother Ashok, who works in a hedge fund firm in New York.
