Bowler is first local woman to win Singapore Open since 2008, snaps own 3-year drought

Despite boasting world beaters and Asian champions, none of the national women bowlers had won the Singapore Open title since Cherie Tan in 2008.

But that decade-long drought fittingly came to an end yesterday as Jazreel Tan emerged victorious in the women's stepladder final at Temasek Club with the tournament celebrating its 50th jubilee.
