As Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov step into the Octagon this morning (Singapore time) in the biggest mixed martial arts fight of all time, spare a thought for Tony Ferguson.

Fighting on the same UFC 229 card as Nurmagomedov and McGregor, Ferguson faces Anthony Pettis in the co-main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
