SINGAPORE - Having already tasted success in the team event, Indonesia's top dressage rider Gading Larasati claimed gold in the individual event with little fuss at Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre on Tuesday morning.

The 43-year-old finished with 147.853 per cent on her trusty 17-year-old stallion Wallenstein 145, besting Singapore's Caroline Chew (142.170 per cent, mare Tribiani), while her teammate Menayang Alfaro (138.128 per cent, gelding Desperado 172) took the bronze.

The victory means that the Indonesian riders have made a clean sweep of the dressage titles, after Gading, alongside teammates Njoyo Dewi Kuni, Menayang Alfaro and Hadiyanto Ferry Wahyu scored a hat trick with the team gold last Saturday.

The dressage team from Singapore, consisting Chew, Soh Wei Chi, Natalie Tan and Catherine Oh, were silver medallists in that event.

With just one gold left up for grabs in equestrian in the individual showjumping event on Wednesday, Singapore has a shot at finishing as the top-performing nation.

The medal tally currently stands at Indonesia (2 golds, 1 bronze) Singapore (1-2-0) Malaysia (0-1-1) and Thailand (0-0-1).
