The Illumi Run will return for a second edition next year, after a successful debut on Saturday night at the F1 Village.
Close to 10,000 runners took part in the fun-themed race over the weekend, where participants were splashed along the 5km route with specially imported, non-toxic neon water. The event reached capacity within three weeks after registration opened.
Said Jeffrey Foo, director of the event's organiser Infinitus Productions: "The atmosphere at this year's Illumi Run was incredible.
"We are very glad that Singapore has embraced this homegrown party run. This is a strong indication that runners are now looking forward to more of such runs, and we'll definitely be back in 2014 with a greater and brighter run."
