Hockey: World and Olympic champions the Netherlands too good for Australia

SINGAPORE - The Netherlands romped to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Australia in their second outing at The Project Group International Tri Series tournament on Wednesday evening.

The Dutch, who are the world and Olympic champions in women's hockey, scored through Maria Verschoor (13th minute) and Roos Drost (28th minute).

The Australians, ranked third in the world, will meet world No. 8 Germany today. The match, also held at the Sengkang Hockey Stadium, will begin at 7pm. Entry is free.

The six-match triangular ends on Saturday.
