Great Eastern Women's Run attracts close to 15,000 people

SINGAPORE - Close to 15,000 people took part in the Great Eastern Women's Run at the Marina Bay area on Sunday (Nov 13).

North Korea's Jo Un Ok won the half marathon elite open category, while Jasmine Goh was the top local finisher in the same category.

Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu flagged off the 10km run before taking part in the same event.

The 100m Princess Dash, which made its debut last yea, also made a return this year.

The Great Eastern Women's Run is now in its 11th year.

Several Olympians also featured at the all-women event, including Singapore's Neo Jie Shi, Cambodia's Nary Ly and The Philippines' Mary Joy Tabal.
