SINGAPORE - Welsh professional golfer Jamie Donaldson will be playing at this month's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Singapore Open, organisers confirmed on Monday.

The world No. 46 will join several famous names at the tournament, which include world No. 1 Jordan Speith and fellow Major champions Darren Clarke and Y.E. Yang.

Donaldson, who secured the winning point for Europe in the 2014 Ryder Cup, will look to build on his success at last December's Thailand Golf Championship, after a tough 2015.

His last individual victory was back in 2014 at the Czech Masters, which secured him a spot on the European Ryder Cup team.

The SMBC Singapore Open will be held at Sentosa Golf Club from Jan 28 to 31, and will also feature the top 60 from the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour Organisation, as well as leading Singapore professionals and amateurs.
