SINGAPORE - Let's be honest, after the second free practice session here on Friday (Sept 20), did anyone really expect Ferrari to end up with their first 1-2 since the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2017? Or their first hat-trick of wins on different tracks since 2008?
If there was one thing with which both the vanquished Mercedes and Red Bull Honda teams consoled themselves after Spa and Monza, and the Belgian and Italian Grands Prix, it was that they would get back on terms with the red cars round the floodlit streets of Marina Bay.
