Monaco may boast A-list celebrity glamour and prestige, while Monza is the spiritual home of the tifosi, F1's most passionate fans, but the Singapore Grand Prix has over 12 editions earned itself a reputation of being "almost a traditional racing venue" due to its status as Formula One's first night race, says Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff.

And the popularity of the Singapore race shows few signs of waning, as organisers announced on Sunday that this year's event drew a three-day total of 268,000 spectators - the second-highest after 300,000 attended the inaugural night race in 2008.
