Transfer talk

BLUES KEEN ON MBAPPE

English Premier League champions Chelsea are the latest club pursuing Monaco's Kylian Mbappe, with manager Antonio Conte set to hold talks with the French teenager next week, according to British media.

Arsenal and Real Madrid - who are believed to be preparing a whopping £100 million (S$176 million) bid - are the other clubs linked to the striker.

The French Ligue 1 champions are, however, expected to offer the 18-year-old a new bumper deal for him to extend his stay at the Stade Louis II.

BAYERN EYEING SANCHEZ

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are ready to make forward Alexis Sanchez their highest-paid player on £350,000 a week, according to British media.

Reports have said that Bayern are favoured to sign the Chilean international, with Arsenal not likely to sell to a Premier League rival.

Sanchez, who has one year left on his contract with the Gunners, could cost Bayern around £40 million (S$70 million).

BUTLAND GOING NOWHERE

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland is not going to be sold in the transfer window, and will be at the Premier League club for "years to come", chairman Peter Coates has said.

The England international kept two clean sheets in five league games last season after returning from a 13-month injury layoff due to surgery on a fractured ankle, and was called up to manager Gareth Southgate's squad for the June matches against Scotland and France.
