There is talk of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer asking Sir Alex Ferguson into the dressing room to wind up Manchester United before today's humongous match at Old Trafford.

It says much of Solskjaer's respect for his old boss that he would contemplate such a move. But why risk it? Surely, the Norwegian has earned the right to do things in his own way, through his own words, his own managerial skills?
