The England fans who thronged the Kaliningrad Stadium on Thursday were in buoyant mood, belting out "Football's coming home" in the boxy and compact 35,000-seater before kick-off.
After the game, they could barely believe they travelled all the way to this Russian enclave sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania to watch a friendly kickabout which Belgium won 1-0.
