This pharaoh is not without honour except in his homeland

The remarkable year of Mohamed Salah was bound to run into a road block. By that, I don't mean the foul arm lock with which Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos slammed him to the ground during the Champions League final back in May.

The new season started somewhat hit-and-miss for Salah at Liverpool. But, with the Reds winning, there is no downward spiral there.
