He is arguably the most reviled player in the last English Premier League season. This season, however, Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is undoubtedly the best.
The 27-year-old Uruguayan was named the English Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year on Sunday, after scoring 30 goals and contributing 12 assists this season. This award was voted in by fellow top-tier professional footballers.
It completes a remarkable turnaround from last season, when he was banned 10 matches for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic and condemned all around for his vile behaviour.
