Fekir for Reds is 'fake news': Lyon

PARIS • French Ligue 1 football club Lyon yesterday decried media reports that Liverpool's £53 million (S$95 million) deal for captain Nabil Fekir was imminent, calling it "fake news".

The 24-year-old, who is in France's 23-man World Cup squad, is wanted by Liverpool to fill the void left by January's sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
