Injury scare for Alli ahead of Panama encounter
ST PETERSBURG • England midfielder Dele Alli missed training yesterday as doubts grow over whether he will be fit to face Panama in England's second match of the World Cup on Sunday.
Alli picked up a thigh strain during the opening 2-1 win against Tunisia and is likely to be rested against Panama.
He is not the only one injured, however, with England manager Gareth Southgate dislocating his shoulder after going out for a run on Wednesday.

Amrabat selection given the all-clear by doctors
MOSCOW • Morocco defended the inclusion of Nordin Amrabat against Portugal in their World Cup Group B match on Wednesday, five days after the winger suffered concussion against Iran.
Coach Herve Renard told reporters that "the medical reports are read by the competent people" and that the doctors took responsibility for allowing Amrabat to play.
Morocco became the first side to be eliminated from the World Cup after two straight 1-0 losses to Portugal and Iran.
