Liverpool fans in the Singapore sports fraternity rejoiced as their team were crowned English champions for the first time in 30 years yesterday.

Current and former national athletes reflected on the Reds' path to victory and shared the lessons they learnt from the win, with bowler Jazreel Tan, 30, saying: "They last won the league when I was born, so it feels amazing that they finally managed to get it after so many years, some close calls and some really bad years too.
