M’Baye Niang scoring Senegal’s second goal past Poland’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the 60th minute of their World Cup Group H match at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow yesterday. Senegal had led by a Thiago Cionek own goal in the 37th minute. Poland managed to pull one back when Grzegorz Krychowiak headed in from a corner four minutes from full-time. Senegal’s win gave Africa its first victory at this tournament after Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia all lost their opening games.
