One of the most recognisable faces in world football will be in Singapore next week, to launch his academy jointly with S-League club Tampines Rovers.
Known for his toothy grin and signature Brazilian samba skills, former Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldinho will be in town next Thursday and Friday to publicise his eponymous football school.
News of the former Barcelona playmaker's whirlwind trip was announced by Tampines yesterday.
The 35-year-old will arrive at Changi Airport Terminal 1 next Thursday at 1.45pm on Emirates flight EK 432.
Straight after arrival, Ronaldinho will be whisked to Ion Orchard, where he will meet the media to share more information about the partnership between the Stags and his academy.
Apart from setting up his football school here, the player, who is currently without a club since leaving Brazilian side Fluminense in September, will also promote an electric scooter that he endorses by demonstrating it at the atrium on level one of Ion at 4.45pm.
On Friday, Ronaldinho will visit ITE College Central in Ang Mo Kio at noon for a meet-and-greet session before leaving Singapore for Xiamen, China.
