With emphasis on youth, football fraternity is excited about the start of the new SPL season

After a coat of paint and major renovation works, the new Singapore Premier League (SPL), known as the S-League from 1996-2017, will open for business today.

With a clear emphasis on youth, the fraternity is looking forward to the rebirth of the country's only professional sports competition, starting with the Great Eastern Community Shield game between Albirex Niigata and Tampines Rovers at the National Stadium today.
