Reds may build huge lead or be reeled in, depending on clashes against Gunners, City

The challenge is different for Liverpool. A weight of expectation invariably surrounds a club of their size and history, but now the equation has changed.

Every team with a six-point lead at the halfway stage of a Premier League season have become champions and now Liverpool have the burden of being branded favourites in an English Premier League title race many assumed Manchester City would win by several lengths.
