Mistaken identity causes distress in ex-striker's family

When word circulated that former Woodlands Wellington footballer Nur Alam Shah had died in his sleep last Friday, many mistook him for former national striker Noh Alam Shah.

The confusion, caused by their almost identical names, was exacerbated when Malay-language news portal BeritaMediacorp erroneously carried an online article a day later, reporting Noh Alam Shah had died.
