A smelly goat. When Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-1 on Sunday, that's what came to mind. To be precise, a smelly, insulted goat named Murphy. A goal so smelly that his owner, Billy Sianis, who had bought a ticket for him, was not allowed to bring him into the stadium for the baseball World Series in 1945.

Sianis, a Chicago Cubs fan, was infuriated and, according to legend, declared: "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more."
