More than 1,700 fans turned up at the Jalan Besar Stadium last night, when the Young Lions (in red) and Warriors FC drew 1-1. The Singapore Premier League match doubled up as a fund-raiser for the late former Woodlands Wellington player Nur Alam Shah, who died on May 18, aged 38, after a suspected heart attack. Alam Shah had contributed to local football by coaching young players. All proceeds from the match will also go to his family. The Football Association of Singapore will announce the amount tomorrow.
