For once, Pep has to revitalise a shaken City

Can serial winners suffer from success fatigue? Pep Guardiola's nervous habit of scratching at his bald pate, at his greying beard, is not that of a coach whose next game, today at Southampton, is against a side that Manchester City hit for six last month.

Since then there have been three defeats in four games, such a rarity in Guardiola's career managing Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City that it has only ever happened to him at the back end of seasons, when the prizes were already won.
