Football: Three national U-14 players picked for training stint with a J-League club

SINGAPORE - Epson Singapore announced on Thursday a collaboration with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to send three national Under-14 players on a training stint with newly-promoted J-League club Matsumoto Yamaga.

The trip is part of Epson Singapore's three-year sponsorship deal with FAS, which is worth around $1 million and inked in August 2013.

The three U-14 players selected for the June 22-28 stint are Muhammad Nur Adam Abdullah, Mohamad Hamizan Mohamad Hisham and Elijah Lim.

Besides taking part in the club's youth training programme, the trio will also get to stay in the club's hostel and attend a J-league match.

Tan May Lin, general manager, Epson Singapore (Sales Division), said: "Epson is happy to play its part in providing the best resources possible to groom Singapore's future football stars. We hope that our youths will be motivated to pick up tactical tips and aspire towards being the best in the field."
