Salim Moin has resigned as head coach of defending S-League champions on Sunday. The 52-year-old had been in charge for just over four months.

The former Singapore international's resignation comes after a poor spell of just one win in his last six matches, including a 0-1 defeat by Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium last Tuesday, which saw the the Stags fail to make the AFC Cup round of 16 for the third consecutive year.

Tampines currently sit third in the S-League after nine matches, three points behind league leaders Brunei DPMM.

The search for the next head coach will begin on Monday after a committee meeting. Assistant coach Rafi Ali will take over first-team training on an interim basis.
