SINGAPORE - Tampines Rovers defender Madhu Mohana received a suspended fine of $1,000 until December 31 for posting derogatory content against a match official on social media after the Great Eastern Community Shield match between Tampines and Albirex Niigata on Feb 26.
He was also asked to give an official letter of apology to the match official.
The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Disciplinary Committee convened on Thursday evening (March 16) to hear two cases regarding 26-year-old Madhu and Balestier Khalsa midfielder Raihan Rahman.
The latter, also 26, was charged with misconduct for allegedly using a racial slur on an opponent during an off-the-field incident during the Feb 28 S-League match between Balestier and Warriors FC.
The case on Thursday was adjourned, and a new date will be set soon.
