SINGAPOR E - Fans in attendance for the Oct 7 Causeway Challenge clash between rivals Singapore and Malaysia at the National Stadium stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes, courtesy of SilkAir.

The regional wing of Singapore Airlines announced its sponsorship of the Causeway Challenge on Wednesday (Aug 31) and will look to give away three pairs of return economy-class tickets to one of its new destinations - Laos' capital Vientiane, Luang Prabang in Laos, and Fuzhou in China.

The winners will be announced during half-time in a lucky draw.

SilkAir, the official airline sponsor of the Causeway Challenge, is also offering special fares to all customers. Customers can unlock the fares by entering the promo code "JOYTOFLY" at silkair.com between Sept 7 to 30.

Set to be their 65th clash, Malaysia hold the edge with 22 wins while Singapore have 19. The pair have drawn 23 times. The Lions are 159th in Fifa's world rankings, eight places ahead of Malaysia (No. 167).

The last time the two sides met was in 2014 during the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup. The Tigers beat the Lions 3-1 at the National Stadium and knocked the defending champions out of the tournament in the group stage.

Tickets (Category 1: $28 and Category 2: $18) are available from www.sportshubtix.sg from noon on Tuesday (Sept 1). There will be a 25 per cent discount for early birds, with the offer ending on Sept 12. Concession rates are also available.
