SINGAPORE - Fandi Ahmad's LionsXII recorded a come from behind, 2-1 victory over Felda United at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Sunday evening to preserve this season's unbeaten home record.

Victory over Felda has also moved the hosts up to fourth in the 12-team Malaysia Super League (MSL).

At home this season, Fandi's charges have now won six and drawn two of their eight matches so far at Jalan Besar while netting 17 goals and conceding seven.

In their latest victory, two sublime efforts from Zulfahmi Arifin and Faris Ramli cancelled out an earlier Indra Putra Mahayuddin goal for Felda United.

A slow start from Fandi's charges was capitalised on by Felda in the 12th minute when Indra Putra latched onto a lofted through ball from Liberian playmaker Zah Rahan Krangar and lobbed an effort over the onrushing Izwan Mahbud.

Zulfahmi then struck a superb equaliser as he stepped up to curl a 20 metre free-kick around the wall and into the back of the net in the 23rd minute.

Not to be outdone by his team-mate's sublime strike, winger Faris Ramli then netted a brilliant effort of his own as the winger dribbled past two defenders before expertly slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net just before half-time.

The LionsXII now have three MSL matches remaining at home with ties against Sime Darby, Selangor and Pahang still to come for Fandi's men.

The LionsXII will next travel to the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium to face Terengganu on Wednesday.
