It may be a pre-season exhibition match halfway across the world, but Italian Serie A champions Juventus are not taking this Saturday's match against a Singapore Selection side lightly.

Having landed in Singapore on Thursday afternoon, the team headed straight to the National Stadium for a closed-door training session, before attending a pre-match press conference at the National Stadium.

And at the press conference, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said: "This is an important match for preparation... It is important work before we head back to Italy."

Singapore national coach Bernd Stange, who is leading the Singapore Selection on Saturday, said: "We need the Kallang Roar, but we have to do our part. This is a very young team, and we are very happy and proud to join Juventus (for this match)."

The match between Juventus and Singapore Selection kicks off on Saturday at 6pm.
