As if Singapore's controversial 1-3 defeat to Malaysia in the AFF Suzuki Cup was not a bitter enough pill to swallow, rival fans are determined to twist the knife even deeper into the wounded Lions.

Malaysia's third goal, which came about after Lions goalkeeper Hassan Sunny had rushed into the opposing penalty box for a corner (thus leaving his goal exposed) - and allowing striker Indra Putra to steer the ball into an empty net - has provided enough ammo for netizens to spawn a new hashtag on social media.

#KeeperKatMana, which roughly translates to "Where's your keeper?", is the latest taunt to mock the Lions and their fans.

Just check out the various memes that have been making its rounds on social media:

But the best of the lot (or the worst, depending on your sense of humour) has to be this video, which parodies Hassan in various locations as the goal was being scored.

To rub more salt into Singapore's wounds, the tagline was inspired by local singer Taufik Batisah's hit song #AwakKatMane.

Yet, purists will acknowledge that sending a goalkeeper up the pitch as one last throw of a dice isn't new - former Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel did this to great effect throughout his career.

Imagine if Hassan had pulled off a Schmeichel (see below video) - Malaysian fans wouldn't be so cocky now.
