Instead, the opening strains of nu-metal group Linkin Park's Numb started playing instead.
Fortunately, people quickly realised it wasn't 2003 anymore, which was the last time it was fashionable to like Linkin Park, and the real anthem started playing.
At least one Malta player got a kick out of it, judging from the grin he wears in the Vine above.
