Football Funnies: Alberto Moreno is so upset at having to join Liverpool he breaks down in tears (not really)

Maybe he wanted to play alongside Luis Suarez, but only just learnt that the Uruguayan has moved to Barcelona.

Maybe he thought he'd be lining up beside the best the English Premier League has to offer, only to realise his teammates include half the Southampton squad and Kolo Toure.

Maybe he was looking forward to learning from Liverpool's most senior full-back, only to realise that that's Glen Johnson.

How else do you explain the emotional reaction of Sevilla's Alberto Moreno, who is seen absolutely distraught at his old side's Uefa Super Cup match against Real Madrid?

The poor guy's been forced out of his hometown club and made to join Liverpool in what is reportedly a 12-million-pound ($25m) deal.

Obvious joke alert: And if he's this weepy now, imagine how he'll look after Steven Gerrard bungles Liverpool's title chances again.

Okay, humour aside, in an age when player loyalty is at an absolute low, it's heartening to see some genuine passion from Moreno. Welcome to the Premier League, Alberto.
