BERLIN (AFP) - Joshua Kimmich's late winner saw Bayern Munich preserve their 100 per cent Bundesliga record in Saturday's (Sept 24) 1-0 win at Hamburg, but the league leaders saw Mats Hummels limp off with a knee injury.
With Bayern facing Atletico Madrid away in the Champions League on Wednesday, Germany international Kimmich converted a superb Franck Ribery cross in the 88th minute.
Kimmich's goal leaves Carlo Ancelotti's Munich as the only team in Germany's top flight with five league wins from five.
They also have eight wins from eight matches in all competitions.
However, their joy was tempered by seeing key defender Hummels suffer a right knee injury in the second half which makes him a doubt for Wednesday's European clash.
The win leaves Bayern three points clear of Borussia Dortmund, who beat Freiburg 3-1 on Friday when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his fifth goal in five games.
Saturday's defeat to Bayern is another blow to Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia, who is battling for his job after four straight defeats.

It's the latest in a string of off-the-ball incidents involving the Frenchman which had earned him a ticking off from Ancelotti at the start of the season.
