Football: Barcelona aim to go all the way in the King's Cup

(REUTERS) - Barcelona coach Luis Enrique said on Tuesday that he would not leave anything to chance in their King's Cup second-leg tie away at Villarreal on Wednesday.

The Catalan side have got the better of Villarreal twice in the league and now have a 3-1 lead from the first-leg semi-final at the Camp Nou. If they can finish off the job, they will face either local rivals Espanyol or Athletic Bilbao, who drew 1-1 in their first match.

Luis Enrique said they are determined to make their way to the end of the tournament.

"They are very dangerous but we are also dangerous. We are not here to just go for a walk, we have not travelled to just watch the semi-finals and see what happens," Enrique told a news conference.

"We really want to make real our way to the final and we are in a fantastic time and shape to do that. The match is more than attractive, the qualifier is more than attractive and we are really motivated."

Villarreal held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw in La Liga last weekend and have particularly impressed this season with the quality of their football while also possessing a dependable backline.

They have concentrated on being solid in the games against Barcelona which has not worked out and they will be forced to attack this time in order to overturn the deficit. The fact that Villarreal coach Marcelino rested several players against Real also suggests that they have not written off the tie.

Barca's devastating forward line of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez face Villarreal having hit 32 goals since the start of the year.

"To score will be more than important for us but the objective is not to score, it is to win the game, and score as many times as needed. We are going to play as seriously as possible and we are going to play our game, we are going to attack. We need to be in control of the ball to play well, we need to be in control of the ball also in our defence and that is our goal," Luis Enrique stated.
