Football: Bahrain friendly kicks off final 3 warm-up games for Lions before Suzuki Cup

The Singapore national football team will travel to Bahrain for a friendly match on Nov 7 - the first of three warm-up matches before they begin their Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup title defence on Nov 23 against Thailand.

The national team will also play Cambodia and Laos at the Jalan Besar Stadium before the regional competition begins. Dates for these matches will be confirmed at a later time.

Said national coach Bernd Stange: "We are in the final stretch of preparations before the Suzuki Cup kicks off later this month, and we are taking this match against a top Asian team very seriously. This match will also give us a chance to fine-tune our tactics and I hope to see my players put up a strong performance against Bahrain."
