SINGAPORE - The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has cast its net wide and far for a new technical director and could well have settled on someone from Down Under.

The Straits Times understands that Australian Joe Palatsides is the man the FAS will turn to as it works on a long-term strategy to turn around the fortunes of Singapore football.
