Football: Argentina spend day shopping, relaxing before heading home

SINGAPORE - Argentina are on their way home.

The world's second-ranked football team checked out of the Fullerton Hotel on Wednesday night and departed for Changi Airport.

They had spent the day relaxing after trouncing Singapore 6-0 in a friendly at the National Stadium on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, stars such as Paris St-Germain's Angel Di Maria and Juventus' Paulo Dybala were spotted shopping in the malls around their hotel and returning with several bags of goods.

They were also seen strolling at Raffles Place, Collyer Quay and reportedly had lunch at Ce La Vi at Skypark.

Some fans who had waited for them at the hotel were rewarded for their patience when a couple of the players, such as Dybala, agreed to give autographs.

Tuesday's friendly with Singapore was to mark the Football Association of Singapore's 125th anniversary.
