SINGAPORE -Eighty-five per cent of Saturday's clash between Singapore and Malaysia have been sold as of 6pm on Friday, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) said.

The Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup Group B match at 8pm will be the first for Singapore and Malaysia at the new National Stadium.

Concession tickets, and tickets for Malaysian fans were sold out.

The FAS is urging Singaporeans to purchase their tickets as soon as possible, to avoid disapointment.

"We are humbled and encouraged to see so many Singaporeans wanting to support the Lions at the National Stadium. The response has been overwhelming," the FAS said in a statement.
