His dream of becoming a professional footballer may still be years away, but Ilhan Fandi will receive his first big pay cheque today.

The 15-year-old attacking midfielder's father, local football legend Fandi Ahmad, will represent the teenager to receive the first-ever Special Development Grant at the Singapore Olympic Foundation (SOF)-Peter Lim Scholarship ceremony at the ITE College Central this afternoon.
