Local football fans have lauded the effort to rebrand Singapore's only professional football competition, although they feel more can be done to put more behinds on seats.

Now called the Singapore Premier League (SPL), it was rebranded by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) in March after the S-League experienced a decline in standards over the past few years and struggled to bring in the crowds.
