Ex-FAS gen sec Lee withdraws from AFC exco contest

Former Football Association of Singapore (FAS) general secretary Winston Lee withdrew his candidacy for one of nine seats on the executive committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) yesterday, just hours before the governing body's Congress in Kuala Lumpur.

The FAS said in a statement that Lee, who served as one of AFC's five vice-presidents for a term of four years that started in 2015, informed them of his decision yesterday morning.
