LionsXII striker Khairul Amri (centre) challenging for the ball during Friday's 1-2 Malaysian Super League loss to PDRM FA in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 10th minute via a penalty from their striker Dramane Traore, after Amri handled the ball in the box.

Although the LionsXII equalised through a Safuwan Baharudin header in the 28th minute, Traore restored the lead two minutes later with a thumping header of his own.

LionsXII coach Fandi Ahmad said: "We are disappointed with the result but we did well today, especially in the second half when we had at least five clear chances to score. We let in two quick goals in the first half, but that's football."

The LionsXII have failed to win three consecutive matches on the road. But they can now look forward to taking on Kelantan at their Jalan Besar fortress on Saturday. They remain unbeaten in five games at home.
