FIRST TO SCORE IN FOUR EUROS
Ronaldo overtook England's Alan Shearer with his double against Hungary on Wednesday to be on eight goals and is now bearing down on French legend Michel Platini's Euro record of nine.
Ronaldo scored twice as Portugal reached the final on home soil in 2004, just once in a disappointing quarter-final exit in 2008 and three times as his nation was knocked out on penalties in the semi-finals by Spain four years ago.
PORTUGAL'S TOP SCORER
The one honour missing from Ronaldo's own personal trophy cabinet is a major international tournament win with Portugal.
However, he has surpassed the likes of Luis Figo and Eusebio to be his country's all-time top scorer with 59 goals from his record 128 appearances.
MOST FINALS APPEARANCES
Ronaldo has broken the record for the most number of European Championship appearances at 17, and looks set to extend that record when Portugal face Croatia in the round of 16.
He moves ahead of France's Lilian Thuram and Edwin van der Sar of the Netherlands, both on 16.
