Comeback wins for Balestier, Young Lions in SPL

The Tigers scored two late goals to claim a 2-1 win. Home took the lead through Hafiz Nor in the ninth minute before Vedran Mesec equalised in the 87th minute. Huzaifah Aziz scored the stoppage-time winner. Balestier moved to second place in the nine-team SPL table with 13 points from nine games - 11 behind leaders Albirex Niigata, who have a perfect 24 points from eight games. Home slipped to sixth with eight points from seven games. The Young Lions also staged a comeback win as goals from Ikhsan Fandi (58th) and Naufal Azman (79th) helped overturn Fabian Kwok's 49th-minute opener for hosts Hougang United. The Young Lions rose to fifth with 10 points from six games, while winless Hougang remained bottom with three points from eight games.
